2nd Year - Umpire Training Program
What: An umpire training program for teens. They’ll receive instruction from experts in the field via engaging and interactive lessons
Where: Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF), 1483 Tremont St., Boston, MA 02120
When: Mid March thru April, two days per week, two hours per session
How: Teens should apply today by submitting an application to Noel Torres in the Recreation Division of BCYF by mail to the above address or by fax at (617) 635-3229
Program Includes:
- Advanced apprenticeship opportunity through Boston After School & Beyond and
the Boston Youth Sports Initiative.
- Participants will earn a stipend while training.
- This will be an 8-week training program. All participants that successfully fulfill its requirements will earn employment in our summer programs.*Participants must be registered with the Boston Youth Fund.
- This opportunity is open to teens, 15-18, who are Boston residents.
- The Eastern Massachusetts Baseball Umpiring Association will certify all participants that successfully complete this training program.
