FITNESS / RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS

 

 

Adult Yoga:                                                            

Beginner Kripalu Yoga classes are taught by certified instructors.  In this class you will learn postures and techniques to help relieve stress, increase blood flow, strength, flexibility and balance.

Tuesdays 6:30—7:30 PM      

COST: $40.00


 

CORE STRENGTH AND STRETCH

This 60 minute class is designed to strengthen the abdominal muscle, hip flexors, and lower back. This class is beneficial in reducing stress, improving posture, strengthening the muscles. It also helps in improving the flexibility of the body thus enhancing the range of motion of all body parts.


Mondays 7:00 PM—8:00 PM        Cost: $40.00

INTRODUCTION TO KETTLEBELLS 

Beyond bodybuilding; kettlebells are the toughest most demanding, highest yield exercise tool on the planet. Guaranteed to forge a rugged, resilient, and flexible muscled frame. Kettlebells are the most efficient way to work your cardio, core, strength and flexibility training all in one. 

Wednesday 7:00-8:00PM             Cost:  $40.00

ADVANCED KETTLEBELLS

Advanced Kettle bells incorporates all the routines taught in the Kettle bell 1, in an intensive environment to create a more demanding and challenging experience.  Participants will increase endurance, expand there expertise, and have an overall robust workout

 

Thursday 6:00-7:00 PM    Cost:  $40.00

Wednesdays 7:30 PM—8:30 PM            Cost: $40.00

 


NEW YOUTH PROGRAMS

 

BOYS   CLUB

Are you tired of your boys always wanting to play video games?  Not knowing to play independently?  Then this program is for you...The Boys Recreational Club at the LHCC is designed for boys ages 6 –8 years.  The program’s goal is to get and keep our boys active.  It will focus on teaching the children how to play games they can initiate with their friends ( NOT VIDEO GAMES!) how to win and lose appropriately, how to work as a team, and much more!

 

This 10 week program will kick-off Wednesday, Dec 28, 2011 and will officially begin

Wednesday, January 11, 2012.  

 

Registration is required—spaces are limited!

 

Cost:  FREE

Wednesdays   3:30—5:30 PM


 

 

GIRLS CLUB

Due to popular demand, our Girls Club has been added as a regular program for Winter 2012!  This fun, recreational program is designed for girls ages 7 –12.  This weekly program will allow your girls to make new friends, have fun, and build self esteem.

 

Activities include arts and crafts, games, field trips, swimming parties, movies and much more.

Note: Schedule Change– This program schedule will move from Fridays to Wednesdays beginning January 2012.
