Hockey Festival
Boston Bruins and Boston Centers for Youth & Families

Hockey Festival
Jim Roche Arena - West Roxbury, MA
Wednesday, August 11th 1 - 3 PM

 

The Boston Bruins and B.C.Y.F. have teamed up to host a fun filled, hockey event! Kids ages 6-14, with or without prior hockey experience will have the chance to play street hockey, public skate, try ice hockey and participate in various hockey themed games. Street hockey gear, ice hockey equipment and ice skates will be provided.* There will be Bruins games and interactive activities, chances to win Bruins autographed memorabilia, appearances by Blades and Ice Girls and much more!
*As equipment is available.

After a long summer renovation last year, the staff at the LHCC are proud to announce that summer camp is
back at the Leahy Holloran Community Center. This fun day camp program provides swimming daily, arts
and crafts and sports activities, as well as weekly field trips for all. Children will be assigned to groups according to age, and spaces are limited. All slots for camp are filled on a first come, first served basis.
 
  
After Camp Enrichment Program
NEW for Summer 2010 ! After Camp Enrichment Program (For ages 5—11 years)
Recreational Activities and Swimming Activities will be provided at the  LHCC Mondays—Fridays 2—5 PM Cost: $5/ hr per child or $175 per child for 3 weeks .  Registration required 1 week in advance of participation.

BCYF’s ROCK THE PARK!
at GARVEY PARK
LHCC is pleased to announce that the Summer Recreational Activities are back at Garvey Park this year!
This program is made possible through the generous support of BCYF, BCYF– Recreation Division, the
Mayor’s Office of the City of Boston, and the DCR.
 
The R.O.C.K. the Park Program is designed for youth ages 11—18 who are not actively involved or
participate in a summer camp program.
 
The program will focus primarily on Sports and Recreation with emphasis on character development, and is structured for youth who are on the periphery of enrichment services and opportunities.
 
This drop in program does not require preregistration, and will be provided on a first come, first served basis for up to 50 participants daily.
 
Hours are subject to change, but are currently scheduled for 2:00—8:00 PM. For more information about this program, please contact Mike Triant at 617-635-4920, x2219.

 

Mass Ducks Offensive Attack Clinic

When: 16 Sessions over 8 weeks, 2 hours per session

*** Please Note: Grades are based on what grades players will be entering in September 2010 *** 
          Girls Grades 3-6: Wednesday and Friday nights 5-7pm
          Girls Grade 7: Monday and Thursday nights 5-7pm  
          Girls Grade 8: Wednesday and Friday nights 7-9pm
          Girls Grade 9: Monday and Thursday nights 7-9pm
          Girls Grade 10-12: Tuesday and Sunday nights 7-9pm
          Boys Grades 4-9: Tuesday and Sunday nights 5-7pm      
Dates: Tuesday, July 6th - Monday, August 30th

Cost: $260 per player (Less than $8.15 per hour!)

Learn Irish Ceili and Set Dancing

The LHCC is proud to offer Irish Ceili and Set Dancing Workshops with Sally Harney

Thursdays 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Cost: $5.00 per class

No commitment necessary, give step dancing a try for $5.00, we are sure you will join us again and impress your friends.
